Kern County Fair

Really hit the jackpot at the county fair this year! Out of 11 entries I got 9 ribbons. The one of which I was most proud was the display under USA. I made a small display of a pair of Big Black Socks, a Socks for Soldiers poster and a small flag. It took first place!

The weather for the fair was perfect. Warm, not hot and a bit of breeze. I entered as many categories as I could. Socks, a turquoise sweater, doll clothes, hot pads and lap robes. A very successful year.

Visit to Redbluff

Here is a photo of Maryanne that I took when we visted on August 24, 2007. She has slimmed down, chasing Aiden I suppose, but looks good. She had just started school and has a lot on her plate. April Irene is doing well in school and appears to be as smart as her mom.
